Falke is a brand with a rich heritage. In 1895 roofer Franz Falke-Rohen started his own knitting mill having worked as a knitter in the cold winter months. The Falke group remained a family run business throughout the early 20th century with Franz son guiding the business through the tough economic times. In 1946 the Falke trademark that we know and love today was developed and used on legwear for the first time. Soon after that, under the guidance of Franz Grandson, the company would become one of the world's first designers to use Nylon. The Falke company still remains a family run business to this day with the fourth generation from Franz now running the innovative manufacturer.
